Temple of Computer Problems

I came up with the idea for Temple of Computer Problems when I was first studying programming and my teacher encouraged us to make step-by-step lists for problem solving. Later, when I taught beginners at Kvinnofolkhögskolan, I realised that while the method works on paper, it lacked something that could help people shift their mindset in the moment. I wanted a small, practical tool that could feel both useful and calming, something to guide a person out of overthinking and into action.

The result became a one-page web app with a kanban-style board, designed as a kind of meditative “temple” rather than just a checklist. It helps users move from spiraling or fretting into breaking problems down into concrete steps, keeping focus on the here and now. In building it, I experimented with how many items should be allowed and whether users should be able to add their own. While it began as something for myself, I’ve since shared it with friends and colleagues, and people use it for all sorts of problems hehe.

Enjoy!
